Tryon Bridge

This wonderful bridge is hidden away among the trees on a private homestead in the artsy community of Tryon, North Carolina. It was designed and built by Heirloom Stair and Iron to blend seamlessly into its pastoral setting and provide safe passage over the stream which presents a tricky obstacle for the nearby home's residents.

The steel structure from which this bridge derives its strength is completely hidden by its cedar cloak - reminiscent of the old covered bridges of centuries past.

The unique rhododendron balustrade makes it appear almost as though the bridge grew naturally from the greenery that has made its home along the creek for generations. The loveliness of this bridge has made it a favorite project among Heirloom's craftsmen and artisans.

Trace the life of the Tryon Bridge from the earliest layout of its steel components to its final delivery in the gallery below.
